David Watkins

David brings over 10 years of experience in Banking and Financial Services to his new role as Managing Director of MIA Golf Tech. An avid golfer with a passion for improving his game, David is dedicated to building on the legacy of Iain and Malcolm, who have shaped MIA into a trusted name in golf technology.

With a fresh perspective, he’s excited to lead MIA into its next chapter, focusing on innovative solutions that connect with golfers at all skill levels.

As a high-handicap golfer himself, David understands the journey of improvement and is a strong advocate for using technology to improve performance. When he’s not at his desk, you’ll likely find him at the driving range refining his swing.

Iain Mackenzie

Iain Mackenzie has a vast amount of experience in the golf industry and for the past 25 years has worked in Golf management and corporate events. Since 2007 when MIA Sports Technology was formed Iain has been responsible for the selling, installation & training of a number of golf technology products including FlightScope.

He represented Yorkshire 135 times, was County Champion in 1977 and 1980 and European Mid-Amateur Champion in 2004. He was Captain of the Yorkshire Team in 1992 and from 2002-07, during which time they were English County Champions 3 years running.

During his captaincy he had the privilege of working with players such as Danny Willett, Matthew Fitzpatrick, John Parry, Chris Hanson, Danny Dennison, Steve Uzzell, Graeme Clark and many more.

Malcolm Mackenzie

Malcolm Mackenzie has been a European Tour Professional Golfer for over 30 years and has played in excess of 600 European Tour Events. Highly respected by his peers, he won the French Open in 2002 in his 509th event.

After a series of injuries, Malcolm has decided to concentrate on the business side of golf although he will still play a few events on the Seniors Tour.
